What a Local Growth Scorecard actually measures

Most agencies open with a pitch deck. We open with a grader, because you should see evidence about your own shop before anyone asks you for money.

The Local Growth Scorecard grades a home service business the way a homeowner meets it, 0 to 100, on the same three jobs the Growth Engine is built around.

Found. Whether Google, Maps, and AI search can find you and tell what you do.
Chosen. What your reviews and your website say next to the shops you actually lose work to.
Booked. What a lead meets when they try to reach you.

It takes about a minute. You get the result on the page and a copy in your inbox. No meeting required to see the score.

Found: can a stranger in your town get to you at all

A homeowner does not start with your company name. They start with the job and the town. Emergency plumber near me. Roof leak in St Charles. If you are not in that conversation, the rest of your marketing is talking to people who already chose someone else.

This half of the score looks at whether search and Maps can name you, whether the Google Business Profile is complete enough to be trusted, and whether the site tells a crawler (and an assistant) what you actually do. A pretty homepage that never says the trade or the town will lose here even if it looks expensive.

Chosen: what they see once they have two or three names

They will open your site on a phone. They will look at reviews. They will look at the shop next to you in the map pack. Ratings and review counts are public Google data. We compare them live, because that gap is what decides the call when the work is urgent and the homeowner does not know you.

This half also catches the brochure site: slow on mobile, stock photos, no license, no recent jobs, a phone number buried under a contact form that emails a mailbox nobody checks on Saturday.

A high review average with twelve ratings still loses to a 4.7 with a couple of hundred. Volume is how a stranger decides you are real.

Booked: the number a scan has to guess

A scorecard can see that your site has a phone number and a form. It cannot see what happens when a real customer calls at 6:42 on a Tuesday evening, or how long a form sits before anyone answers it.

That is why the Response score is an estimate, and why we say so on the report. It is also why it is the number that matters most. A lead answered inside a minute is dramatically more likely to become a job than one answered in an hour. Not because people are impatient. Because they keep calling down the list until someone picks up, and then they stop.

You can win Found and Chosen and still lose the job in voicemail.

What we do when the estimate is not good enough

The Deep Audit tests the part a crawl cannot see.

  • We call your business after hours and time the response to the minute.
  • We fill out your own contact form and clock the reply.
  • We tear down your top three Google competitors side by side.
  • We write a 30 day fix plan, priced move by move, and walk it with you on a 20 minute call.

It costs $97. That $97 comes off the first month if you ever hire us. If we do not find a single leak worth more than $97, we refund it.

How to read your own result

Do not chase a round 100. Look at which of the three jobs is actually leaking.

Found is the weak one. Finish the Google Business Profile. Get the trade and the town onto the pages that should rank. Fix name, address, and phone so they match everywhere. Ads will not save an empty profile.

Chosen is the weak one. Speed on a phone, real photos, real reviews on the homepage, a number they can tap. Then a review request that goes out after the job without waiting for someone to remember.

Booked is the weak one. Missed-call text-back. An answer inside a minute, including after 5pm. Follow-up that does not depend on whoever is in the office that afternoon. This is the half most marketing never touches, and it is where a $12,000 job never hits the calendar.

Run it on your own shop: the Local Growth Scorecard. Instant results, and a copy to your inbox.
